About the book:
I have listened to this CD book while on a recent driving trip. It was published in 2000; Coelho is one of my favorite authors, and I savored mostly his latest novels such as Eleven Minutes, Veronika decides to die, The Zahir, and I plan to re-read The Alchemist. This book is trying to answer the question: Are people bad? It is a story about the struggle between good and bad, with beautifully created characters. Coelho is a master of turning big existential questions into amazing prose, deep but effortless. Another great piece of fiction from this author.
