From the book:
'Remember that impatience is an expression of arrogance of some sort, which, if allowed to linger, will undermine faith, hope and will, and only strengthen the moods of depression. Arrogance is of the ego and is therefore destructive.'
'When emotions arise, catch them, look at them, take all power out, withdraw identification from them...It is harmful, even destructive, to suppress emotions or to deny their existence. Transform them into refined feelings.'
'Physically, humans feed on the vegetable and animal kingdom. Emotionally and mentally, people feed on each other. There is no reason to assume that there is not something that would feed on us.'
'To admit ignorance is to be strong, while to pretend to know is weakness.'
'But I say unto you, that every idle word that men shall speak, they shall give account thereof in the day of judgment. For by thy words thou shalt be justified, and by thy words though shalt be condemned.' Matt. XII: 36, 37
